With the Morning Light
A soft breeze blows ‘cross the window sill
With garden smells, as the night grows still
Take a deep breath, think of the day past
Will it be love or pain that will last?
Did you give someone a smile today
To soothe their path, send them on their way
Did the lion lay down with the lamb
Or did your loud roar with harsh words slam?
As the soft breezes clean the night air
Empty your soul with this fervent prayer
Leave pain in the past, then move ahead
Vow not to let guilt clutter your head.
Each day begins with the morning light
A new chance to make everything right.
