Wish Upon a Canvas

                     Wish Upon a Canvas

Bring out your favorite colors and don't
forget the stardust and your unique brush.
Use swirls of vermillion, hunter green,
and toss in some iris, too.
Some deep purple and lavender,

It's really up to you.
Never forget the blues...
Jazzberry Jam, popstar, wine.
How about the sensuous color,
Fandango?
Makes me want to dress up,
go out and seriously tango!

You can paint oh, so many hues.
To re-create God's universe,
that He lovingly gave to you.
Just let His hand guide you and
the colors of your poetic words
will come glimmering through!

Artist's and poets are similar., they use canvas we use words to paint a picture. Love how you combined the two. Tom

It’s fun to be a featured poem. But I don’t have a fat head anbout it. I still am in developmental stages as a poetess. I used more free verse back in 2019. Couplets work best for me. But am on the road to new types, Panagiota. Thank yoy.

The Chef Poem was a knockout. Thanks for your comment on this one..I think it's more than good. You and Arturo caught on. Grateful to you both. Everyone I know seems to avoid it. I don't understand that. Will have to read more of you...I do love poems that are beautiful. Moonbeams be yours. So calming on warm summer nights...Panagiota xx

Hello,Arturo! Thank you for your intelligent and insightful comment on this one. It was a true delight to compose and anything, but easy. It has several layers of meaning ~ hardly a snap or cutesy poem. Not this one. Though, I write those, too! Wishing you a star-filled summer night, Panagiota xx
