Wish I Could Smile

Wish I could find more energy 

wish my will was stronger 

I am so weary now of things

dark clouds hover over longer
 
wish I could reach out to the stars 

hold them in my humble hands

dance along side moonbeams 

in sand-scaped  desert lands 

wish I wasn't weak 

wish I made no mistakes
 
could I breath easier 

if there was give to these takes 

wish I could smile
 
but there is sadness in the air.
 
I wish I could be a light 

but there is no light out there 

I wish that time went slower

I wish that I could soar

then I could look down upon you

if life wasn't such a chore

I wish for all the gold and riches

I could shower you in gifts

I'd make your sadness happy

your spirits I would lift

wish we were in heaven

with other angels we'd play

there'd be so much rejoicing

each and every day

I wish all our prayers would come true

then once more I'd be alone with you
