Wisdom From God
In apprehending knowledge worth
I was trained and taught to perceive
Ideas my brain did receive
To optimize learning with mirth.
Always comprehending to gain
Truth for meaningful existence
I cleave to its Source sans pretense
Now, I'm free to learn without strain.
Claiming Sovereign light each day
My soul seeks for wisdom* that’s right
Gracious guidance of divine might
Midst faith that sees miracle ray.
With scheduled plans of prayer zest
My heart claims direction with peace
Against confusing troubles’ crease
Since I believe God’s way is best.
Gripped with glitches that cause downfall
Along stress bringing despair pout
My mind longs for wisdom from doubt
Knowing the Lord heeds to my call.
Confident to face challenge blow
My spirit trusts the Holy Ghost
As I strive to do my utmost
Serving Christ with gratitude glow.
Divine wisdom I daily need
So assigned tasks I can fulfill
Since such is the Almighty’s will
For my triumphant work indeed.
*James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
