There are fears – there is fear
That darkens my dreams, erases my belief
Fills me with dread, doubt, despair
Fear this strong colors my whole world
In a dusk that dims my warmest thoughts
With a chill that feels like the winter snow
There are fears that I face some days
Fears of the silence, the solitude
Will I be lonely? Will I feel the fading dismay
Anxiety that reflects all the murky waters
A hush that reminds me I have no place to go
No one who really knows… my heart and soul
But, He is there – amid the fear
Brightening my thoughts, reassuring my heart
Encouraging my faith and freeing me from dread
He is always there – In the stillness,
In the calm – where I sometimes find a prayer
That needs to be spoken, breaking the quiet
With sincerity – belief – a dream
That He will answer my prayers with His mercy
Comfort my worry with His grace
There are fears that haunt all my best
Give me chills of wintery doubt,
Yet, He is there – a breath of inspiration
Promising me love amid the dread
Promising me hope to bring me out of doubt
Promising me His gift of unending compassion
Promising me a faith that will always believe
He is the answer to every fear, each need
He is the whisper of serenity and sincerity
He is the reason I never have to feel uncertain
He makes a way where no way has ever been
He guides my steps when I feel so very unsteady
And He is the One I will always praise…
Thank God for His amazing ways!
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
