Sixth Place
the winter sunset
is so beautiful
with a rosy pink band
like a ribbon streaking
a lovely band of color
across the sky
beyond the frosty trees
below a stain a vein
of yellow gold
with sprinkles of purple
& navy
variegated mottled sublime
swirling
with winter white
smears blurring & streaking
uninterrupted
for a moment
visible & then
slipping falling
& fading
