Winter Peace

Winter Peace

An old branch brushing against the eve
Rhythm of rain on the window
Wood burning low in the fire
Chopin soothing the soul
Memories awake
Soup simmering
Love’s own hand
Safe now

This sounds like perfection to me. Perhaps a glass of wine, and not noisy Chopin, not the famous Polonaise. I love your good taste. Congrats on the selection. Love, daver

Barbara, theimagery here is terrific and the flow is smooth while the tone perfect. If I may suggest adding one word to the 1st line "An old branch" otherwise a lovely write and read. Michael

A woodfire, rain on the windowpain, classical music, hot soup, and the one you love...what more could a person ask for? A bit of heaven on earth! Beautiful poem in a form I haven't tried yet, but will be sure to now! ***edit: I tried one, and I like it! What a nice form of poetry! :)

I love this Nonet. It flows so well and has such a wonderful homely atmosphere. Nocturnes? Ahhh, that soup smells good! Awesome write! Love, Nigel
