Winter Masquerades
Winter Masquerades...
Winter sunrise
Warms daylight
Wears a mask of gilded paint
Golden dawn masquerades as summer mornings
Yet disguises
Fierce storms
Grinning thunder
Snowdrops wait
In hibernation
Warm winter afternoons masquerade as spring
Hunger for life so quietly sleeps
When winter
Prowls the
Frozen earth
Snowy jewel’s
Foggy icing
Masquerades as frost kisses on pumpkins
Winter’s camouflage conceals the harvest barrenness
To mask
Arrival of
Platinum tempests
