Some years winter is very mild. Warm afternoons to sit in the sun. Or do something fun, maybe wild outside, instead of coming undone. Some years winter in the south vary About every ten years or so There'll be deep snow in our zonary Freezing rain, sleet from gray clouds flow All in all, there are emerging patterns Warm up, rain, turns cold, colder then One more cold night, rain clouds that turn The area warmer again

Climate and weather are so unpredictable now. They keep changing. Some years back, we could predict the changes. But now with global warming everything is altered. Right observations dear Sara

Gershon, pouring rain as I type this. It has been pouring down for about 3 hours now. There are flashes of lightning, but thunder's answer is way, way off. Your visits are delightful. Sara

It's been a rather unusual one, one day in the 60's, the next day in the 30's. One never knows what to expect of the seasons anymore. Well-worded.

M. L., Well I had thought that this year would be a little colder than last year and so far I have been right but it is not as cold as it has been from time to time in the past. Thanks for your kind review of my work. Sara

Sounds very much like Missouri in the last 20 years since I've been here. BOL in the contest, Sara.

Jim, I think your area gets the weather before it comes to us, but sometimes what comes your way goes above us. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Sounds like Arizona, slightly above the desert~ I did see snow once in Phoenix on Christmas day. It was a blast. Good reflection for life in general I guess, the highs and lows, the chills and warmths. Very well written.

Yes, Joe, the highs and lows of life. Sometimes it is daily for some people and for others like rise and fall of the tide. Thanks for the kind review of my work. Sara

Dear Sara, you capture the finicky nature of "winter in the south" with wonderful rhymes and lovely finesse. I live up north and I hate freezing rain and sleet... snow I like though.. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

I appreciate your visit, Susan. I don't see how people in the north make it through winter, but I guess you and yours are prepared for it. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Jenna, why thank you. It is 62 here now and I feel chilled, but it is much better than a few days back at 29. Sara

We are in for a week of wind and rain. It's the wind I hate most though. All this after some beautiful days.

Victor, Yes, the wind can really be disagreeable if one is outside in it. It can make it seem so much colder and if it is raining, pelt the body with chilling rain. Aren't those beautiful days wonderful in winter. Those little reprieves help to make winter more bearable. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Sara, you have written an exquisite piece. I heard about the wind and storms in the south, and that several states were proclaimed disaster areas. I hope you are not impacted, and I wish you safety and well-being.

Lasaad, The storm hit several areas to the west and north of us. We got wind and rain but no damage or destruction. I am seeing it on TV and feel for those that are hard hit. There were some injuries and deaths from the storm but not close to us. God took care of us during that time. Thanks for your concern. I appreciate you dropping by and the kind review of my work. Anne-Lise, we are having a whole lot of wind this year as well. Some bad tornadoes last week. Scary to even think about. I feel for those people who lost lives in their family and those that lost all they own. Thanks for the visit. Sara
