Winter
Winter
It's only November
But it's as cold as December
As fallen leaves
10 crisp deep
Nestlé beneath my frozen feet
And cover this suburban coner Street
My home town has been turned Autumn golden brown
Seemingly overnight
While the Summer slowly drowns away
And night replaces day
The rain is pouring ever sideways
And grims the word
For the ailing tree's
That masqerade as witches noses
In protracted shadow's
Scaring children from the meadow's
God how i miss the warmth of Summer
And pristine green and floral patterns
That while away my aching woes and pressing matters
As 6 long month's
My patience waits
For like the leaves
On static tree's
I long to feel a life affirming summer breez
Lap happiness accross my dour Soul
And blow away the Winter's toll
