WINTER

WINTER Winter sheds her marble tears Autumn colours fade Coldness whispers in our ears Spectral carpets laid Icicles hang from virgin trees Weeping in lament Long forgotton chestnut leaves Flowers blossom spent Fields lie with frosted waves Creatures hide away Quiet is the haunted graves Misted clouds of grey Spring rests her ebbing wings Dreaming for a while Silent in her whisperings Prior to her smile
