Thank you, Tania. The contrast and inspiration was Sylvia Plath’s “Tulips,” and also the loss of my nephew to suicide. Where I love tulips, Sylvia could not bear them in her state of mental illness. Thanks, again. xx

I had to look-up "jejune" -- yep, who could not be moved by such beauty. Hmm...unfortunately maybe too many. Lovely, profound write. Did you also do the lovely picture, or art? Best of luck in contest. Joe.

Art is from Pixaby! I’m not an artist but I love art. I love tulips but also Silvia Plath’s take on tulips. My nephew committed suicide last year. He did give his life to the Lord and was baptized. I think too many suffering mental illness were done in by the isolation of the pandemic! He would say even though he smiled he was not happy behind that smile. Oh to suffer so. I have a lot of empathy… God bless you, Joe!
