Windswept

i'm not sure
what's stirring more
this wind
wresting leaves
or my mind
wallowing
in thoughts
of you

i find myself
entranced
within
this amber sway
adrift
like leaves
dancing
through dreams

wondering
if i were to fall
would you
pick me up
caress me
hold me
tight
or leave me
tumble
bloodied
ashamed
to crumble
grounded
unnamed

I just arrived back at my office and the first thing I said to a work mate was, battling that wind out there is rough. Your poem really touches on questions that may seem so simple but the desire to know the answers flows like a strong breeze on a blustery autumn day. This was amazing my friend.
