Windswept

i'm not sure what's stirring more this wind wresting leaves or my mind wallowing in thoughts of you i find myself entranced within this amber sway adrift like leaves dancing through dreams wondering if i were to fall would you pick me up caress me hold me tight or leave me tumble bloodied ashamed to crumble grounded unnamed

Gorgeous tapestry of leaves in the wind and wistful pondering of love's vulnerability. The last word, "unnamed" is such a powerfully lonely word, well chosen. Congratulations on your wind, dear Sandra (pun intended, sorry...) Hugs ~ John

I was swept up in the melancholy musings and breezy beauty of your poetic artistry, Sandra. Dreamy yet tenderly moving poetry. Love the title too. Warmest wishes always, dear poetess.. ~ Susan

You are stuck in this windy autumn bliss with the rest of us it seems. A little chilly here with the wind but not rainy so that’s a plus. Thank you Heidi :) hugs

"windswept" is the perfect title for this piece as it mimics perfectly the weather outdoors today and thoughts whirling within. You will be picked up, my friend...

- They are beautiful when they dance in the wind, Sandra - It's their last dance ... Even if I hold "you" tight, "you" would die in my arms ... but I would always remember your name :"The Pearl of Autumn" - A very sensitive poem ... wonderfully written, my friend :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Wow, not only was this deeply touching and amazingly beautiful but so appropriate for my area today. I just arrived back at my office and the first thing I said to a work mate was, battling that wind out there is rough. Your poem really touches on questions that may seem so simple but the desire to know the answers flows like a strong breeze on a blustery autumn day. This was amazing my friend. I believe their answer would be they would definitely catch you if you fall.

Thank you my friend... it is very windy here today. I was watching the wind lift the leaves off the ground and scatter them again. Always windy around these parts because of all our hills I believe ... hugs :)
