Oh, winds of night
that softly sighs and soothes
my skin. Stay with me, why don't you?
Cool and swoosh away disquietudes
that might perturb my restful sleep.
Do away with anxious thoughts gradually
piling up in a heap, forming a mountain
in my mind. You see, it's much too big
to hold in all at once.
Drive them all out...
out of the window
Let all my worries of the day drift away
with you. Do dissolve these white elephants
in the midnight sky, or scatter them at sea.
They're no longer useful to me now.
Blow all my worn-out concerns of the day
far, far away, so I can count sheep
and rise with the sun with immaculate mind.
Steal away everything, but my lovely dream.
