Winds of Change

What whirling winds of change are in the air as tender hearts collide amongst the clouds emotions felt that fairest souls will share when hidden from the ever present crowds. what once a budding friendship turned to love surprising even faithful tender hearts now drifts among the clouds so high above and deeply pierced by Cupid’s cosmic darts. as gentle love is felt from far away the tender whispered words from one so fair drift in the clouds and hold my heart in sway as whirling winds of change are in the air. ‘twas only yesterday I felt alone but now along the wind a love has grown.

wonderful sonnet John, you make the form look easy... love the story within your lines, sometimes friends fall in love but don't act on it for fear of losing the friendship and other times they end up together forever... best wishes in the contest! hugs

It seems we've both posted sonnets founded on loneliness. Your lines are filled with melancholy, written with love and yearning, John.

Thanks, Silent, I appreciate your thoughts and comments. I have always felt it important to let a person know how we feel. I failed to do so about 35 years ago and a good friend of mine from college passed away without ever knowing; this is one of the biggest regrets of my life. John
