Windowed Pain

Glass and fine china Shattering to shards C and A flat echo outward Fog dissipating in crackling rime Moon winds knife through soft silk Sands race in rush back tide Browning thunderous rolls of surf A leaf , still green, torn from a defiant anchored stalk Flattens against wet black rock Love letters full of lies Fly in shattered swirls of angry turmoil And still a tear forms in warmth To freeze in sea bound wind The taste of hot sweet tea Lingers in gingered memories Shivering shudders of shunned sentiment Held in by tight wrapped fisted arms Feelings swiftly clutch Anger feels familiar fury Again Damn it all Again
