'Tis said that William Claude Dukenfield was fond of his rum. A healthy nip morning, noon and night was his rule of thumb! He was better known as W. C. He said "A man who hates kids can't be all bad". He was a native of Philadelphia, PA, who dropped out of school early to become a carnival juggler. He eventually made it big in vaudeville, and later in motion pictures. You have described him well in this clerihew Bob.
