Will You Be My Valentine

Will you be my valentine said he amorously
Oh yes I said but what’s in it for me
A radiant jewel
Sure dear it will be swell
Do note to take my simple wish seriously

The day arrived with much fanfare
But I didn't seem to give a care
For the gift I waited
But was soon inflated
For he never came to my expectant lair
