Why We Have Christmas- God With Us

The Rancher said,"I'll stay home and tend the fires" as his family went to church. He loved people was extra kind always did good work. He sat back in his easy chair listened to a country song thought about his wife and kids how their love was strong. He looked outside the window the snow was falling down he hoped his wife and kids would make it back from town Suddenly he heard a thump on the picture window pane then some more then more and more those bumps heard strong again He looked outside and saw a pile of tiny little swallows in the snow stunned and dazed in the snow they wallowed He raced outside and scooped some up brought them in to warm When they revived they'd struggle and fly like a feathered storm He knew these birds had lost their way in this storm, they are lost in flight He must find a place for them to save them from their plight Then he thought about the pony barn, He built for his youngest daughter Clair If he opened the doors and turned on the lights The birds would fly in there He opened the doors and turned on the light a place of peace for these tiny birds He tried to get them to go to the light they ignored his motions and words They kept on flying, hitting and dying on the picture window pane They could not see the real safe place his efforts were in vain All at once he realized if he could be a bird He could lead them to the barn save them and protect them keep them from this harm Right then the need for Jesus came into his heart He pledged to follow Our Savior and always do his part. I hope you choose Jesus to lead you to the light So we can share His Glory where everything is right. Comments: This is the best example I have ever heard for why humans need Jesus. He was and is God with us to show us the Way. He will come again to redeem all who have chosen to follow Him and He will take us to a place where there is PEACE on Earth and in Heaven

This is a great poem and I love the symbolism of how He feels and cares for us. I hope it gets featured on the soup if it hasn't already.
