Why She Missed the Bus

she waits for the bus standing against the wall, books in hand, mind in another world he walks around the corner she plummets back to earth she tries not to stare but all the memories flood back in her heart there's a pressure she can't bare he stops, and leans against the wall opposite from her he glances at her she watches him in the corner of her eye she dares to take a look their eyes lock neither can look away emotions run rapid inside her everything she's been holding back holding inside breaks loose a tear run down her cheek she drops her books to the floor barely in control of anything anymore one foot in front of the other she walks to him eyes still locked he takes a step forward they meet the toes of their shoes touch she still looks into his eyes he can't bare to pull away he wipes her tear away and their lips meet shes still crying heat rises in them "I missed you" she breathes in between kisses "I love you" he whispers in her ear "I know"
