When top-heavy Trudy went drinking She noticed the men were all blinking Her low neckline falling Dear Lord, it’s appalling That Trudy’s own “three eyes” were winking *Written June 11, 2014 Copyright © Carolyn Devonshire | Year Posted 2014 Celebrating Carolyn's Poetry: An Uncontest Poetry Contest Sponsored by Andrea Dietrich Carolyn was such a witty lady I loved her poems and learned so much about meter from reading her poems. The Top heavy Trudy poem is a perfect example of a bawdy limerick and I love the use of humour in the title . Carolyn always encouraged me to write witty poems especially the limerick form and the poem I chose mirrors my own sense of humour 08/30/21

This is so nice how you learned from her, Jan. I have been able now to view at least half of the entries to my contest now by searching these titles. I do not think I have seen any duplicates yet, which is really cool. Thanks so much for contributing to this collection that will be my winner list. I loved sering this bawdy limerick of Carolyn's.

Yours is a very good choice, Jan. Carolyn enjoyed Limericks, and she was capable of writing bawdy without ever crossing the line. Hugs // paul

She knew how to inject humour into her poetry Jan and wrote some brilliant limericks. I used to love her limericks, im glad they left her poetry on here for us to enjoy. Tom.
