Why I Love You

In the warm glowing dawn of love, I found you
Beneath soft skies, my eyes lifted in a dreamland's wonder
A beauty to pause, you held me breathless and still
As I crossed into your eyes to an unknown world
Where each wish wished was wished with wishes of you
When we held hands in dreams of a timeless time
And moved like dancers across a stage of seamless twilight
Moving in unison, fingers wrapped gently in a lover's caress
Holding on like shadows bonded to their form in silence
Not caring about tomorrow or our yesterdays of quiet ponders
