Who I Am - Updated Poetry Contest

Sponsored by: Constance La France

Woke in a corridor alone. Who am I? What's my name? I want to go back home. My sweet daughter Took me to a rest home, explained. And showed me some photos, went for a walk. Mild amnesia. 'twill pass. Old and new flashes of memories came and went. Began to write poems. Old friends just disappeared, Wish some memories went away. But the urge to write poetry, free or rhymed, stayed. Placed 1

So beautifully heartfelt! You always touch the depth of human states and experiences in your own vision, style and poetic flair! Something of inexplicable value, fact, truth.. remains embedded in our souls.. that could define who we are.. What a genuine poetic rendition! Deserving to honoured and recognised! Congratulations, Victor on your outshining win and placement! God bless you. My deepest regards and blessings.

Hello Victor, your poem eloquently conveys the fragility of a person's character and the strength of one's artistic nature. The juxtaposition of fragility and power is moving. Stay healthy.

Oh, this is such a heartfelt and soul-moving piece dear Victor. I felt the vulnerability in your lines and descriptions, that anxiety which never ends ~ when our existence begins to fade away and we are led through hard maze of life... poetry and finding moments in which one can seek solace, I think, can be the most cathartic. Sending you light and best wishes always, this was such a poignant read...

Dear Victor, your poem beautifully captures the fragility of identity and the resilience of the creative spirit. It’s a poignant reflection on navigating illness and memory loss, finding solace and purpose in poetry even as the world shifts and old connections fade. A touching blend of vulnerability and strength. Keep well...Hugs
