White Dust
Winter arrived during the night
Dressing all in a coat of white
It painted the trees and tipped it with frost
Sprinkled it around like white dust.
The wind came up and started to blow
The white dust began to flow
The sun came up with an icy glow
White dust fell to the ground below
It painted a pattern on the ground
Forming several different mounds
Some were soft and white
Others became a hard, hard ice.
The suns radiated a warm glow
Melting the crystalline sheet below
The white dust continued to blow
With the new forthcoming snow.
