Whispers of Legacy

Whispers of Legacy In the hushed silence of my heart's deep chasm, Lies the ache of a bond severed, a cataclysm. For I lost a guiding star, a beacon bright, A parent's love snuffed out, swallowed by night. Oh, how it echoes through the corridors of time, The absence of their presence, a bitter, haunting rhyme. The moments etched in memory, now tinged with pain, Like petals withered, never to bloom again. In childhood's innocence, I yearned for their embrace, To witness my victories, each significant chase. Their pride, a compass, guiding me along, But destiny chose to play a different song. Oh, the milestones passed, without their tender gaze, The laughter, the tears, lost in life's winding maze. From graduations to weddings, a symphony of missed, Their absence cuts deep, like a dagger's cold twist. The birth of my own children, a bittersweet delight, Their innocent eyes longing for grandparents' light. Yet the void remains, a hollow ache in my core, As their laughter intertwines with shadows on the floor. The seasons change, years slip through my grasp, But the ache persists, an eternal, solemn grasp. For the loss of a parent reverberates with might, Reshaping my world, forever altering its light. Yet within this grief, a fragile strength unfolds, For I carry their legacy, the stories left untold. Their spirit whispers softly, in the wind's gentle sigh, Guiding me through life's storms, urging me to try. Their love, an eternal flame, burning in my soul, Though their touch I can't feel, their essence makes me whole. In every cherished memory, they still reside, Their presence woven in the tapestry of my stride. So, as I navigate life's uncharted sea, I carry their love, their wisdom deep within me. Though their physical absence will never cease, Their spirit endures, an everlasting peace. For the moments they didn't witness, I'll hold them near, In the depths of my heart, they'll forever appear. And through life's joys and sorrows, forevermore, I'll honor their legacy, as I walk the path they wore.
