Autumn's colorful beauty is timeless
it's woven by a season's changing hand
fills the Fall season with leaves of brightness
and textures that cover the wooded land
Autumn's colors are colors of lament
as green rain-fed Summer leaves bend and grieve
and seal the bonds with a season's consent
to the whispered breath of Autumn, they cleave
the north wind's chill invites the leaves to fall
silently becoming brittle and brown
beneath the naked limbs of trees, they sprawl
wearing the decay of their earthly gown
within the mind, each Autumn will endure
gentle thoughts peaceful colorful and pure
