Whispering Winds - Hold My Hand

Listen to poem:
Written: September 18, 2023 Lady Gaga Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Robert James Liguori Poem inspired by Lady Gaga's lyric: Hold My Hand ______________________________________________________________ Hold my hand, my dear, don't let go, In this storm, together we'll flow. Through the trials and the dismay, We'll find solace, come what may. Have you heard the whispers from above The heavens speaking of our love? In the clouds so grey and forlorn, A message of hope is gently born. Draw me close, let me swathe you tight, In my allot, your anguish takes flight. Our hearts ache and our souls throb. But together we'll shell the lichen sob. It may be so long for you to share, But when you're ready, I'll be there. Tell me, my love, that you need me, You have swollen wounds, I foresee. You don't need to show me again, But if you decide to, I'll remain. I'll ride beside you in this life, Through the struggles and the strife. I won't let pass until the end So cry tonight, let your tears descend. But don't you let pass of my hand, I'll be here, to assist you withstand. You can cry, every last tear gland, I won't leave until I understand. Promise me, just hold my hand, In this journey, together we'll stand. Whispering winds may blow us astray, But with your touch, we'll find our way. Through the darkness, we'll find the light, Guided by love, shining bright. So hold my hand, my love, don't let go, In this dance of life, we'll ebb and flow. As we step forth and bear a deep breath. We will tackle hardships and carry strength.
