the soft summer rain

    whispers gently through the trees

it lulls me to sleep 

     with it's relaxing rustle

and the scent of fresh blossoms

thanks, Francine, i often feel that way when seeing contest results of differing judges. I will see favorites of mine that are way low on a judge's list or I will see ones that never made it on the list at all and find myself amazed by that. I just read a poet here who entered in someone's contest and did not place at all and I absolutely loved his story poem!

This reminds me of the hit song of the sixties "Summer Rain" by Johnny Rivers. Good writing Francine.

I really enjoy being lulled to sleep, especially by the "soft summer rain"! Beautifully orchestrated! Your perfect images you paint are excellent! Great Work!!
