Whisper of Summer

You never said those words They never left your lips Until now I thought it, hoped it Longingly Then the truth escaped Like the steamy breath Of an icy day In Winter This is too cold for me The distance too far To hear you fully But my arms are still warm My heart still beats My ears miss your voice I long For the forgiveness call Of Spring With her green shoots Of healing stillness And hope The whisper of Summer The warmness of sun. Therapy for the soul I sit here and meditate On you; your seasons I still love them Yet the barefoot dancing Twirling on the green grass In the sunshine.. still my favourite. Perhaps After all A whisper is all we really need CV 11.30.24

A joyful poem that gives comfort. Soft, green grass feels so good on bare feet. I like your images.

I reread this and now realize a heartache. Perhaps green grass is symbolic of recovery.
