Whipped-Cream Waves of Desire

O, to dream of mythic trails, velvet underfoot
to float on whipped-cream waves of desire
To feel your soft contours sigh in sync with mine
mint vapors to inhale, on moonstruck wishes to dine

To saunter down sandy boardwalks and disappear
sans white buds or jeweled baubles in ageless ears
  Missionaries unflinching, for unrepentant good
ere sunrise flickers out 'neath ashes of widowhood

You do have many sides, gw, and I am a fan of all, this is so touching with 'moonstruck wishes to dine' and 'jeweled baubles in ageless ears' - then that last line so unexpected poignant, brought a small tear to my eye~

Thanks for the nice review, Michelle. At my weight, I have so many sides, I've lost count. Ugh! :) gw

Are you OK? This reads a whole lot like poetry. Where's GW? Some silver tongued devil has taken over your site, GW.

Ha, ha, ha! Am I not supposed to be a poet?! lol. I do 'serious' too, after a fashion. Thank you, Daniel for your reaction, almost exactly what I expected (given my last six months output on the Soup... It wasn't always so...). :) gw
