While They Differ
No denying the rose is red
or the garden breathtaking,
or the morning sun rising in time
to inhale the aroma of
fresh coffee brewing
As we stand there stewing
in each other’s arms
over a debatable debate that
leaves us both empty-handed
yet,
leaves our arms filled with an
unforgettable,
incredible embrace.
Two forgiving hearts, that
while they differ on very few things
they cling to all that’s good,
to all that keeps our kisses sweet,
to all that ignites our beating hearts.
While they differ on irrelevant things
they agree on most that matter.
