Where Were You

Sometimes you weren’t always committed, Sometimes, when we were together, You weren’t always there for me. You would say you loved me, But then you would go on, Minding your own business, Always saying one thing after another, Sometimes, ignoring my presence, As if I didn’t exist. I wish that you were there more, I wish that I was more important to you. I wanted you to love me, The way I loved you, With all my heart. You said it was meant to be, That we were perfect for each other. I didn’t think that you would forget me. I just don’t understand, If you loved me so much, As you said, And wanted to be with me, Then where were you, When I needed you?
