Pat Adams Poet Quatrain

Where the Poets Went

Just where have all the poets gone 
Asked by the poet known as Jan A
My muse has been kidnapped, I think
As for the rest I can not say

I've been expecting some demands
I'd sure pay if that's the ticket
Not a note or even a call
Though once, I did hear a cricket!

Without a muse, how can I write?
It's starting to give me the blues
Hold on now, is this a poem?
Jan must be my surrogate muse!
