Where Is He

he’s not
the self
he used
to be

more like
a lost soul
unrecognizable

wishing
it to be
temporary

wanting
him back
to the self
we knew

the self
he used
to be

I often feel this, and wonder what has happened to change them so. Unrecognizable now....

Oh, I've felt this way about people I used to know, too... like they "lost" themselves (their TRUE self) somehow. Sad, but perfectly penned! ;)
