Where Eagles Fly

High
Where
Eagles
Dare to fly
The wind is howling
Heaving against the jagged rocks.
A climber relentlessly hangs on to endurance
Skilfully persevering till eventually the top is reached, the aim achieved.

I see this was on the winners list from the congrats below. Way to go, paul. About this form, I believe he wanted at least 8 lines, didn't he? But a person could have taken it even farther and done as many lines as he wanted. if some were doing with fewer lines, I guess I misunderstood the contest rules.

Maybe I too misunderstood the rules! Easy way out is to give each other the benefit of the doubt:) Have a lovely week! // paul

If there are nature poems I like to comment on, ones with an Eagle are always are a joy to do so. No need to close ones eyes to enjoy the vista told through your words Paul. Many a climber and Eagle have witnessed each other, and I trust this scene remains for many a generation. Congratulations on your win // James..

Hi Paul, almost all of the breeding pairs of Golden Eagles reside in Scotland, nearly 400 pairs, or as near as. With a wing span of 2 metres, they are quite a sight to witness, James :)

Dear Paul, This eagle is a metaphor for our lives. We struggle to rise above the storms to find a place of peace. If we are lucky, we achieve it! Excellent entry for Rob's contest and I wish you success (as always a 7). Love, Carolyn
