Where Did I Put My Zen
ZEN is a type of Buddhism that seeks enlightenment
through simple meditation and relaxation,
it is a sweet journey to self-contemplation.
I seek my inner quiet place
my ZEN, is where I am free of fear and worry.
It is my place of calmness, acceptance and balance-
in only five or ten minutes stress floats away.
Sit or lay on the floor or ground,
empty your mind of all thoughts,
shut down your to-do-list,
stop replaying unpleasant memories.
(Oh, thinking of nothing is difficult!)
Just focus on your breathing, inhale, exhale, slowly
create a mantra, a word or phrase (beautiful)
and each time your mind wanders, call it back . . .
Give yourself time for stillness,
seek your morals buried deep within-
Strength, courage, tranquility, serenity, forgiveness,
acceptance, surrender . . .
now come with me and just let go.
