Where Did I Go
Oh, I sit here so uninspired
on my rear like a blown out tire.
'Twas, yesterday there was brilliance abound,
but, alas there is none to be found.
My head is full of petty agitations
of my lovely children's manifestations.
In the corners of mind I am reminiscing
of poems laced with the passions of kissing.
My youth spent in frivolous despair
over whether this one or that one will like my hair.
Carefree and taking up space,
I never cared if I won the race.
Never thought I would see tomorrow,
but their three lovely faces erase all my sorrow.
