Where Buzzards Circle
A searing sun
A cloudless sky
Dust fogs the air
A warm wind whips
Withering grass
A river bed
Where stumbling steers
Paw at the ground
No way refreshed
In draining heat
Tiring lean frames
In a dustbowl.
