Where a Life Sentence Should Be For Life - Emotive Write

I hope you rot in hell In your prison cell They should throw away the key You should NEVER be set free You were in a position of trust Where you satisfied your lust For you brutally defiled Many an innocent child You blamed your ‘immaturity’ For robbing children of their purity I hope you rot in hell In your prison cell They should throw away the key You should NEVER be set free Based on a current news story which has upset me so much I got up at 4am to write this poem 06~04~16

Hi Jan, when one feels strongly about something it does good to vent. For people like this life inside is deserved and let the rest of the prison know why they are in. Many things make me angry but you never hurt women or children, that infuriates me. There is no reason. They should throw the book at these people, personally I'd be more prone to throw an axe, but that's me Jan. Enough to say i agree with your sentiments. Lock him up, throw away the key. Hugs....Mike. I agree with what you say Mike and of course keeping this monster in prison will cost a fortune:-( hugs Jan xx

Jan, this is a terrible news story. I can see why it would wake you up early and make you want to scream and shout at this jerk face. So sorry to hear this news, no child deserves such abuse. It makes my stomach sick. well written couplet, be blessed lady :)-luloo

The perpurtrator got 22 life sentences with a minimum term of 25 years - what a joke - life for him should mean for life:-( hugs Jan xx

I relate. I relate. I concur. I concur. I was afraid to read this, but you focused on your anger rather than heartbreak so I got thru without a'cryin'. This is a poet's therapy, what we do, have to do. You let it rip and you did it well. I hope it helped. There is a justice above and beyond what we have on earth. CayCay

Having seen the news item I couldn't sleep CayCay it upset me so much - guess it is therapeutic to get it down on paper and I didn't vent as much as I could but I do feel better for getting it out:-) hugs Jan xx

In my mind it would be criminal to let a person like this back into the community - it will be interesting to see what punishment is given to him when he is sentenced - just breaks my heart to even think of those poor wee mites he abused:-( hugs Jan xx

I couldn't sleep last night Ilene I found it so so upsetting and to think he tried to blame his abuse on 'immaturity' beggars belief - he is a serial abuser that is a fact and I hope and pray he NEVER gets out of prison and has no opportunity of ever re-offending:-( hugs jan xx

It is such a horrendous crime Jo and to think his defence was he was 'immature' - guess he is going to get a stark reality kick now hopefully for the rest of his life :-( hugs Jan xx

Yes I did a limerick recently on a Bobbit type incident - and I remember he became a celebrity after his surgery lol. Seriously Tim I could have written so so much on this theme but in this case I think less is more - I just hope he is never released:-( hugs Jan xx

LOL is usually me writing about controversial events, I think speaking up about the evil ones is always good! Well done! You are so diverse in your works!

It is an emotive subject Arthur and I was in two minds whether to post it... it is a million miles away from my usual humourous writes but having seen the news story about this 'monster' I woke up at 4am with these words buzzing around in my brain and had to get it down on paper. I find writing so therapeutic and a great way to express my feelings. I did work with abused children when I did my training - the haunted look in their eyes I will never ever forget:-( :-( hugs jan xx
