When Will We Ever Learn
When will we ever learn
As we watch the cities burn
Someday it may be our turn
When will we ever learn
Doesn’t it make you want to cry
Watching women and children die
Look to heaven and just ask why
Doesn’t it make you want to cry
When will it be too late
Spreading venom, spreading hate
Costs that we can’t calculate
When will it be too late
On the inhumanity to man
Justify it if you can
Will there ever be a ban
On the inhumanity to man
As we face still another war
When do we say no more
Do we know what lies in store
As we face still another war
Do human beings have no shame
Do we dare to kill in God’s name
No one ever takes the blame
Do human beings have no shame
Where are all the leaders now
Shall we just accept and bow
Can prayer save the world somehow
Where are all the leaders now
When will we ever learn
As we watch the cities burn
Someday it may be out turn
When will we ever learn
