In a place of no world clatter I wish to dwell,
like a gate of withdrawal I secure my door;
I close my windows tight and wish the world farewell,
wrapped and veiled in a serenity I adore.
Like a gate of withdrawal- I secure my door,
enveloping myself in this dark hidden place;
wrapped and veiled in a serenity . . . I adore,
and clouds sail across the sky and stars shine with grace.
Enveloping myself . . . in this dark hidden place,
the bright flowers outside sway in a secret dance;
and clouds sail across the sky- and stars shine with grace,
with no words spoken I am concealed in a trance.
The bright flowers outside sway . . . in a secret dance,
locked and sheltered with sweet incense I watch the moon;
with no words spoken- I am concealed in a trance,
away from all torment and protected, I commune.
Locked and sheltered with sweet incense- I watch the moon,
I close my windows tight and wish the world farewell;
away from all torment and protected . . . I commune,
in a place- of no world clatter I wish to dwell.
