When the Sky Weeps - Jesus Restores Peter

The Rabbi, the Minister and the Monk agreed: Language is cumbersome!
"The sound of the rain needs no translation."

My prayer is that you, maybe with a word I share, will love the Bible & adore Jesus. O, it is THE Book of books, Best Romances, adventures, evil people & nations stopped, lessons taught! Peter denied Jesus thrice before His execution. But the LOVE that restored him (& us) is hidden plainly in John 21. Jesus sees Peter swim ahead of the boat to see the resurrected Jesus! Jesus does not ask WHY the denials, or offer second chances. He simply asks, "Peter, do U love (agape) me?" Yes, THREE times. Humble Peter finally says, "You alone know." No longer brash, rash, first in class. That is how Peter was restored. Jesus & Love.

Smith Wigglesworth, on the Bible, the only book he learned to read at 23: "When i read the newspaper I feel dirtier than I went in. When I read the Bible I feel cleaner than I went in. And I like feeling clean." PTL, shalom & Aleluia

It is tough to give 400 character limit answers to deep Bible questions that many believers struggle with - as I have - and still be thorough. This is not the best place to do Bible Study, but I love teaching the perfection in the Bible

In Luke 22:32 Jesus adds another clue: He told Peter I prayed your faith would not fail entirely so satan will NOT have you [as with Judas]. "When you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers ..." You see why STUDY and cross-references, humbly with asking Holy Spirit to shed light, is the way to read the Bible. Most evangelicals "agree with the views" I express, though we come in many ways

Wasn't it in the Garden of Gethsemane and during the passion? What confuses me is that Peter was scared, as maybe I would be, would Christ know that I love him if I denied him thrice? Blessings, Jennifer.

In the Garden, Jesus went to pray with the INNER Circle, to "watch and pray" with Him. They all failed (Peter, John, James) but Jesus singled out Peter: "Could you not keep watch for one hour?" Mark 14:37. He reveled 2 vital facts: 1. Peter had this chance to avoid the "temptation" or trial of denying Jesus - yes, through fear - the tool of Satan. 2. unlike Judas, He knew Peter's "spirit is willing, but the body is weak." Mark 14: 38. Thereafter Judas does his dirty betrayal. Three denials, three times "Do U love me?" (Filioh; storgey, agape) in Jn 21. LORD said to Peter, "I have prayed that Satan will not have you."
