When the Rhythmic Beats of Our Hearts Are Heard
The hand that caresses the face of love
lingers softly, to tremble on the skin
a smile offers gentle thoughts to dream of
as we cross the primordial again
reverent eyes will inquire in silence
to connect our souls without a shared word
in this world, where time has no compliance
when the rhythmic beats of our hearts are heard
this feathered touch with its smooth trailing trace
a tender tether of love's interlude
when quiet moments measure love's embrace
this realm caressed, this sacred solitude
to brush the face of love, fingers express
will cause our eyes to meet as they express
