Notes About The Poem

Song about dealing with mental illness. A global problem.

When the hurting speaks new song version

Listen to poem:
When the hurting speaks

All of the memories...
flood back with time
I've never been taught, how
to handle it right

All the thoughts linger...
in the cracks of the mind
Where no one expects,
or is able to find

Bridge
Where are you going
in this altered state?
Where nothing is real,
and solutions are fake.

Chorus
What will you do now?
Wait in the darkness...
Wait in the darkness...
Until...the hurting speaks
and, tears your insides out
that's when the hurting speaks

Why are they speaking
words I cannot hear
I see their lips moving
but I still live in fear

They've got all the answers
or so, they will say
But they couldn't live,
in my day to day

All that you need is to
take our nice pills
Blues reds and greens will
manage all your ills

Chorus
What will you do now?
Wait in the darkness...
Wait in the darkness...
Until...the hurting speaks
and, tears your insides out
that's when the hurting speaks

and, tears your insides out
that's when the hurting speaks...

your poem was genuine and I loved the sublte melancholic tone...reminds me of my nephew-in-law. These words echo in my mind: and, tears your insides out that's when the hurting speaks... You have extraordinary talent!

They've got all the answers or so, they will say But they couldn't live, in my day to day…yes, so sad! My nephew dealt with this for 28 years until he took his life. His one suicide song, years before that, when he had strength…the darkness told him “You’ll never make it out alive.” Life is sad…some fight desperate fights.

Sorry about your nephew Kim it is a tragedy how many people don't get the proper treatment and that's the sad reality. Thanks for your kind visit and comment!

Thanks Tom yeah it was a tough choice I had 3 working versions and after some edits this one hits just the right tone. Although I have another one which is probably more commercially viable, but this vocal is quite good I think.

Hey Charles nice to "see" you pass by my way. Nah I can't sing it's a song generating program that puts the music and vocals together, it's a paid professional songwriters tool. Wish I could sing like that. Thanks for the kind words
