When the Butterfly Flutters

The clouds of turmoil spread on the dank sky cast shadows congealed in the closet of life… dark inside for it encases the moonless winter night. I know it’d try and try till the last star fades away to daub opaque layers of self-defeating beliefs… love is a volatile mirage the desertified mind follows in vain… a folly, lesson one doesn’t learn till the heart breaks… the silver lining of storm clouds is happenstance of illusion for nothing shines in the dreamless night. In the wasteland while I gather the pieces of my heart a sparkling sapling spreads jade arms from the rocky cleft… perchance it’s uprooted…gets dried in the arid gale of neglect I make for it a protective niche I never knew I could… that’s when I hear what the southern wind whispers… you’d come wafting through the spring air…the zephyr of love. The sapling I nursed has grown…flowers now in beguiled beauty tinged with the colors of the sunburst dawn…life’s new day… that’s when I see a butterfly… it flutters over the flowers, its designed wings draped with the tapestry of love gleaming under my cloudless cerulean seamless sky. Such fluttery language to go along with the title and emotion of first love, enjoyed the read, Subimal
