When Summer Comes

Summer in all its glory has risen with the leaves-
green boughs will sing her story green
On grassy vale’s on trees and vines
as though winter had never been

Your poem is as quick as winter's death: a simple poem, but nonetheless lovely.

Thanks Timothy: Sometimes a quick write helps to keep a poet’s mind tuned....like a car engine it has to run now and then.

Delightful poem. The last line really drives the point home. It does seem hard to believe, when being surrounded by so much lush beauty, that there ever was a winter.

Short but certainly lovely, Suzanne! Metaphorically it could be a positive way at looking at life...forgetting about a not so attractive past while moving on to better days. ~ Hope you're keeping well, my friend. Warm regards // paul
