I wrote this poem in memory of a dear friend who went to heaven in June 2016.

When special people touch our lives, They make our lives worthwhile, Bringing with them an understanding heart And a reassuring smile, No matter what adversity We may be going through, They seem to know our every need, And help to see it through, They are one of God's earthly angels, And are part of God's plan, To help us to heal and get stronger, So we may help others Feel God's healing hand.

I want to thank you and everyone for liking my poems. You are right about my faith being strong. God gave me the gifts of creative writing, music and photography. It was Sunday April 19, 2015 when I had a heart attack while driving. I was told it was an act of God that saved my life. I was 31 days in two medical centers and a care center. So, I live every day for God.

Dear Don, while browsing Soup poems, I happened across this one that you wrote. What struck me most about it is the reflection of your faith. It revealed the compassion you had for your friend but it also spills over to the fact that you feel this way about mankind in my opinion. I sense this as I read and re-read what you wrote. Your faith in God is strong and admirable. May the God of restoration bring you the peace that surpasses all understanding.

So true. Recently in extended physical rehabilitation found there are more of them than one might think. Real God sends. Peace, Love and Joy

Thank you John Hardison for your kind comments. I wrote this Poem in memory of a dear friend who is in heaven now. She went to be with God in June 2016. She was my earthly angel when I had my car accident. I was told it is a miracle that I survived the accident. I will keep you in my prayers.
