When I Pray and Fast
The road I follow is sometimes hard to find.
It seems well lit, but I feel so blind.
The devil tries to seduce me with things full of sin.
It is ever so hard not to allow temptation to win.
Even my family and friends seem distant and cold.
Leaving me feeling that for 30 pieces of silver, I was sold.
Despite the hardships that have happened now and in the past.
I know that I can endure it all, when I pray and fast.
