When I Leave This Life
When I leave this life,
I cannot say if I'll be mourned,
but I think I will be....
When I leave this life,
I cannot say where I will go,
but I hope God will be kind,
I pray and ask Him to be so.
When I leave this life,
I think I will be missed,
at least a little... and
that is enough--for
life must always roll on,
never stopping too long,
not even for grief or sorrow--
a little sadness is enough,
for joy should fill life and
the myriad dreams of life.
After I've left this life,
will I miss those in this world,
long to touch my wife,
to talk with my friends,
to see and hear and laugh
with everyone I love...?
