Why is it that we see so much brighter with our eyes closed.

When I Close My Eyes

When I close my eyes...and I see the night 
Sometimes things...appear so bright 
Smiling cheeks...and happy faces 
Sunshine ~ Beautiful places 

Ocean waves ~ Blowing willows 
Babies snuggled in their pillows 
Old men rowing in their boats 
Youngsters passing, love you...notes 

Happy women in sweet perfume 
Newlyweds...on honeymoon 
Chipmunks playing in the sun
Children running...having fun 

When I open my eyes...and I see the day
Sometimes things...don't look that way 
So let me close my eyes...tonight
And all I see, I'll see...just right

Ahh, I can relate to that feeling and I believe that most of the poets will agree with you. You see that the wirld we imagine is so perfect but the only problem is that that world don't have a future where as this not so perfect life has one, and the more we imagine the more we start to hate our lives, so the way to success is to be happy no matter how tough your life is, well it is 22 December so I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year

We experience surreal environments and fantasies more when we close our eyes... You express the sweetness of these fantasies very well... I read this twice unconsciousness because of its smoothness and sweetness... Merry christmas and wishing you a wonderful 2019

Yeah... the world turns into a better place once our eyes are closed. I guess it's all about attitude... I mean, if someone closes their eyes and still thinks the worst, then the world won't seem nice. Well done Charles, you made me smile. :)

Hello Charles,When i dream at night, I feel in a happy spot. Being with my boyfriend with the clouded face all evening long. When i awake i feel alone. Or I am in another happy spot, by the watereyes closed being peaceful.Have a nice day my friend.
